CClarion Hotel Post opened on 26 January 2012 and is housed in the old post office from 1925 at Drottningtorget in central Gothenburg. When the post office was converted into a hotel, much of the historic character was retained, while a modern tower building was added to create a larger hotel with modern amenities.

Clarion Hotel Post opened on January 26, 2012 and is housed in the old post office from 1925 at Drottningtorget in central Gothenburg. The old post office building was originally designed by architect Ernst Torulf. Thanks to its location, it is very easy to get there by train, bus or tram - perfect if you are arriving by public transport or want to explore the city without a car.
The hotel has around 500 rooms. The hotel has two main restaurants: Norda and VRÅ. Norda combines Swedish/West Coast ingredients with American/East Coast inspiration, while vRÅ serves seasonal food with Japanese influences.
During the summer months you can stand outside on their terrace and have a bite to eat and a drink.

100th Anniversary 2025 — In May 2025, the post office celebrated its 100th anniversary since the original building was completed. In conjunction with the anniversary, a major renovation was carried out and the hotel launched a "culinary journey through time" at its restaurant, with a menu inspired by the flavors of the 1920s.
